Privacy policy
What TollTunnel collects — including Google Analytics page stats — how the newsletter works, and how affiliate cookies are handled.
TollTunnel is a static informational website. We collect as little as possible, and this page explains what that means in plain terms. Last updated 9 October 2026.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account or hand over personal data to read the site. If you email the desk, we keep your message only to reply. The one measurement tool we run is Google Analytics, which has its own section below.
Google Analytics
No hidden fees here either: TollTunnel uses Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.) to see which deal pages get read. What it collects: pages viewed, the referring site, approximate location at city or country level, device and browser type, and session timing. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are off, so the data isn't used for advertising, and we don't sell it.
If you're in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a banner asks before anything happens, and nothing is sent to Google unless you click Accept. Elsewhere, analytics is on by default and you can turn it off at any time; a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser counts as turning it off. Only after analytics is allowed does GA4 set its first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to two years. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under analytics-consent, not in a cookie.
Cookie settings reopens the banner whenever you want to change your answer. Google explains its processing in its privacy policy, and you can block Google Analytics on every site with the official opt-out add-on.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our price-watch email, we store the address you give us solely to send that email, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every message. We don't sell or rent email addresses.
Affiliate links and cookies
Some outbound links to VPN providers are affiliate links. When you click one, the provider or its affiliate network may set a cookie to attribute a later purchase. We don't control those third-party cookies; review each provider's privacy policy for details. See our affiliate disclosure for how this works.
Your choices
You can block cookies in your browser, use the site without subscribing, and email [email protected] to ask what, if anything, we hold about you. Apart from any email you have sent us, there is usually nothing on our side to remove, and analytics can be switched off at any time through the Cookie settings link above.
