TollTunnel

Affiliate disclosure

How TollTunnel is funded: affiliate links disclosed, commissions never move a ranking, and the providers we recommend that pay us nothing.

TollTunnel is reader-focused and partly funded by affiliate commissions. This page states plainly how that works, because a pricing site that hides its incentives isn't much of a pricing site. Last updated 20 August 2026.

Some links to VPN providers are affiliate links, marked in context and served through our own /go/ redirect. If you buy after clicking one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — you pay the same price you would have anyway. It does not change the price we quote, the renewal figures we publish, or where a provider lands in our three-year cost maths.

We can earn commission from NordVPN, Surfshark, ExpressVPN, CyberGhost, Proton VPN, IPVanish and Private Internet Access. Commission rates differ between them, and we deliberately do not let that steer our recommendations — the three-year cost and the money-back terms decide the order, not the payout.

The providers we recommend that pay us nothing

We regularly recommend Mullvad and Windscribe, neither of which runs an affiliate program, so we earn nothing when you choose them. We keep doing it because they are sometimes the right answer, and because recommending the option that pays us zero is the clearest proof our advice isn't for sale. Mullvad's flat €5/month is also the yardstick we hold every discounted "deal" against on the cheap VPN page.

Accuracy over commission

Prices are dated snapshots and can change; we never run fake countdowns or urgency. If a commission ever conflicted with telling you the honest number, the honest number wins. Spot something out of date? Tell us at [email protected].
